Sundaram Home Finance Limited was promoted by Sundaram Finance Limited in 1999 with equity participation from Sundaram Finance Limited, IFC Washington and FMO Netherlands. In 2007, pursuant to an agreement, Sundaram Finance Limited had bought back all the shares subscribed by IFC and FMO, and the Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sundaram Finance Limited. Later in the same year, Sundaram Finance Limited entered into a strategic alliance with Union de Credit pour le Batiment SA (UCB) since renamed as BNP Paribas Personal Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas, France under which UCB acquired 49.90% of the share capital of the Company. The Company continues to be a subsidiary of Sundaram Finance Limited which holds 50.10% of the share capital of the Company. The Company is registered with National Housing Bank, New Delhi, who are also the Companys regulator. Subsequent to this alliance, the name of the Company was changed to Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance Limited with effect from 28th November 2007. The Company has branches in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. The Company has its Corporate Office at Sundaram Towers, V Floor, No.46, Whites Road, Chennai 600 014. The Company offers Home Loans, Home Improvement Loans, Home Extension Loans, Plot Loans, Non Residential Property loans, Mortgage loans on Residential and Commercial properties.
