With comparative measurements and a management system in accordance with the SN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard assessed on a regular basis by EURAMET, METAS provides proof of its metrological competence within the framework of the «Arrangement de reconnaissance mutuelle des étalons nationaux de mesure et des certificats d’étalonnage et de mesurage émis par les laboratoires nationaux de métrologie; Mutual recognition of national measurement standards and of calibration and measurement certificates issued by national metrology institutes» (CIPM MRA). This agreement enables the mutual recognition of national standards and corresponding calibration certificates.

The METAS calibration and measurement facilities certified in accordance with the CIPM MRA procedure can be viewed in the BIPM database and are marked with the logo alongside on its calibration certificates.
