Canon Error Code B504
– 170 – VisitsThe Canon Error Code B504 is built-in protection to prevent delicate resistors in the print head from overheating and self-destruct. The problem occurs when there is no ink flowing into the print head to keep it fresh, which can occur when a cartridge runs completely dry or no ink is flowing. What happens when you insert a new cartridge, is that the printer automatically looks to clean the standard printhead, but if it does not find ink present in the printhead, it is when it will report the dreaded Canon Support Code B504.
