A major change for this 70-yr old company has been its move from task-based maintenance management to an asset-based system. For 2.5 years, Sellafield has successfully implemented a wide range of ARCHIBUS products to service 1,500 people in its 350 buildings on one huge (11 mi2) site and satellite office blocks. Since going live on Day 1 with Help Desk and Reactive Works, Sellafield now handles 300 Help Desk jobs per day with 80,000 assets in its register, heading toward 100,000. Now every job is priced individually and recorded in ARCHIBUSand Sellafield is coming up with a surprising total per square meter cost of occupation.
